Cultural Insight |
Eric: Now it's time for a quick cultural insight. |
Yaara: When answering the phone, Israelis say "halo?". This is the Israeli version of "Hello" in English, but we use it only when speaking on the phone - in person, Israelis will not greet each other with "halo". |
If someone calls you when you're busy, you can tell them "ani akhzor elekha akhar kakh" - which means "I'll get back to you later". This is casual, but not rude. |
