Hi Jeannet,
Thanks for commenting!
Yes, that will be a perfect use of this verb. 😄👍

Do you use 'ledaveakh' also if you want to say 'I want to report him' (like on a forum when someone makes offensive remarks)?
Thanks!
Hi Jeannet,
Thanks for posting.
Yes, I guess you could if it helps you remember the difference, however, you should keep in mind that such distinction would not always be true and that and these words would be translated either way according to context...
Hebrew can be tricky sometimes :)

Roi, just a correction on my own comment, I wrote 'there exist ...' but I think this should be '(noun) exist'
Thanks Roi! Can I understand it this way that 'yesh ...' simply means 'there is/are', and 'yeshna' and other forms mean 'there exist'?
Hi Jeannet,
Thanks for commenting, good question!
"Yesh" is mostly used as "there is" in Hebrew, or for acquisition (yesh li= I have).
'Yeshna'(f,singular) (or yeshno (m,singular), yeshnam (m,pl) and yeshnan (f,pl)) are used to and refer to a specific object in a similar manner with 'yesh' but with a gender and number specification, and in a more general form.
for example, we could say: 'יש בנות יפות' ('yesh banot yafot') but than one would expect to know WHERE, while when saying 'ישנן בנות יפות' ('yeshnan banot yafot') this sentence can stand alone.
Hope it's clearer now. :)

Shalom!
One of the words I just learned is 'ישנה' 'yeshna'
Just wonder why and when one would use 'yeshna' and other forms, in stead of simply using 'yesh'?

This lesson is pretty self explanatory, try to follow through and make notes. You can also play it on 75/50% speed if it's too fast.
