Did you get it right?

Hi Rivkah,

Thank you for your comment!😄

I suppose that you are refering to Take Quiz > Writing Questions > Phone number.

All of the answers there should be the exact Hebrew word/phrase, as taught in the lesson, otherwise the answer would show as wrong.

mis'par telefon is also correct, but it should be the Hebrew alphabet equivalent:

"מספר טלפון" which means "phone number."

Happy learning!

Yours,

Tal

Hi. On the writing part of the quiz, it marked it as wrong when I typed the English equivalent for ;misp-ar tele-fon' as 'telephone number.' It insisted I change it to 'phone number'. I did but shouldn't either answer be acceptable.

Hi Aaron,

Thanks for posting!

Since this lesson is a reading exercise, the focus here is on being able to read and understand the text without hearing the words... However, I do see that some words in the vocabulary section have audio and some don't, which might make the lesson a little harder... I will forward this in any case 👍

Best,

Roi

I do not like that there is no native pronunciation of the vocabulary words.

I wish the correct pronunciation were given for each word...if I hear it, I can say it.

Hi SHIRA,

Thanks for posting and for sharing your work!

Very good work! 👍 this is a good phrase with plenty of important and clear information.

There are a few little mistakes though, please allow me to fix the phrase and point them out:

איבדתי משהו *ש*די חשוב לי היום *בתחנה!* האם אפשר למלא *טופס מציאות ואבידות*? איבדתי את הארנק שלי עם כל המסמכים שלי, ואני מקווה שמישהו מצא אותו כי אין לי זמן לחכות *כדי* לקבל דרכון ורשיון נהיגה חדשים!

I wasn't sure what you meant with "בקווים ארוכות", but anyway the phrase works better without it 😉

Best,

Roi

I reread all the comments below so I understand that inside needs to modify what it is inside of such as inside the wallet so it will be inside it or him to refer back to wallet. I understand. Thank you again.

Hi Shelley,

Yes, it has plurality as well -

In them (f) - בתוכן

In them (m) - בתוכם

oops-my mistake-thought you said wallet was feminine. I understand now. does "inside" also have the plural endings?

Hi Shelley,

Thanks for your comment.

A wallet is indeed a masculine noun, I wrote that on the last comment as well... (:

To make clear:

In him - בתוכו

In her - בתוכה

In me - בתוכי

Note that if we want to imply movement, into something, than it'll be-

לתוכו

לתוכה

לתוכי

Roi

Hi again, Roi. I had no clue that "inside" had a masculine and feminine form. The feminine form actually also looks masculine."inside" modifies driver's license. So driver's license must be feminine even though license ends with a "nun". Driver ends with the characteristic feminine "hey". You implied that wallet is feminine, but it ends with a "k" and then I would have to use adamah to modify it. Is wallet feminine or just all its contents? Thanks for your clarification.

Hi Shelley,

Thanks, I will forward your comments.

Your translation is almost perfect, note that you should use בתוכו when talking about your wallet (Inside him, as it's a masculine noun).

Yours,

Roi

I have lost a red wallet with my drivers license inside and twenty shekels in cash along with my credit cards.

איבדתי ארנק אדום עם רישיון הנהיגה שלי בתוך ועשרים שקלים במזומן יחד עם כטיסי האשראי שלי
