7000 Biblical words

I would like to see something like the 2000 core word set but for words that were Biblical Hebrew. I read an article today about how Biblical Hebrew had 7000 words and modern Hebrew has 33,000, with more being added. I think this would be of interest to a lot of people.

We're currently focusing on teaching Hebrew as a modern and a functional language, maybe in the future bibilical Hebrew would be the focus of a different set of lessons...
Until then, I recommend you to search online for such sources as I'm sure many people indeed are interested in this and already posted similar lists...

Thank you for the reply! And the helpful suggestion. And your focus is understandable. It is good to have a clearly understood focus.

One thing that really interests me is the derivation of words, and as many associations as I can make with a word helps me fix it in my mind. Some words in Hebrew are clearly loan words (Advil!) and others are of course ancient Hebrew (tov). And the Academy of the Hebrew Language of course officially determines vocabulary, sometimes deriving a new word from an old one and sometimes adopting a loanword, as they describe on their site (http://en.hebrew-academy.org.il/). It would help me if you could put a little note on the flashcards, like "from French", "Biblical", 'Academy'.
